It is here that you can climb in to the cockpit of the world’s most iconic airliner, and take her flying. You will take your seat in the captain’s chair at 27 feet above the ground before you even get airborne. In the flight deck located on the 747’s upper deck.
After pushing back from your stand you will start engines and make your way to the Runway for take-off.
Rolling
As you stand up the 4 thrust levers towards their take-off thrust setting, the 4 Rolls Royce engines will start to spool up, and so will the hairs on the back of your neck.
You will feel the 747’s impressive acceleration and hear the roar of her 4 powerful engines at full take-off power, as you accelerate down the runway towards a flying speed of 180 miles per hour. With your hands at the controls.
Exploring
Once airborne you will explore some of the far-reaching corners of the world the Jumbo has helped to connect. Whether this is an approach in to New York’s JFK or Hong Kong’s Chep Lap Kok.
